I. The Program
The Startup Flight program by Vietjet & National Startup Support Center (NSSC) is an initiative aimed at promoting relationships, exchanges, and seeking innovative technology ideas between the two countries: Vietnam (Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang) and India (Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Kochi).
Startup teams will submit proposals in 4 categories on TheStartUpFlight.vietjetair.com for a chance to participate in the program with Vietjet & NSSC. Submissions may be from individuals or teams of up to 3 people, from Vietnam & India.
The 8 shortlisted teams, 2 teams each category, will be selected to join The Startup Flight. After refining and adjusting their proposals following the completion of the startup flight guidance provided by mentors/training sections, the teams will join The Pitch section with the investors.
II. Eligibility
Nationality: Indian and Vietnamese citizens or legal residents of India or Vietnam.
Interest & Capacity: Demonstrating ideas/passion/knowledge/solution in technology, start-ups, entrepreneurship that is potential to address Problem/Opportunity Statement provided by the organizers.
III. Prize
The 8 shortlisted teams will join The StartUp Flight with mentorship from the industry experts and a trip to Vietnam preparing The Pitch with investors.
Regardless of fundraising outcomes, 01 final winning team from each category will be awarded and be awarded with Vietjet air tickets including connecting flights and a cash prize of $1,000 per team.
IV. Application Process
Online Submission: Choose a topic from 4 categories: Software & Data AI, Ecommerce & Retail, Edtech, Transportation and complete the submission form at TheStartupFlight.vietjetair.com by the specified deadline.
Submit either s short essay (maximum 500 words) or a slide deck, with optional materials if any to illustrate your ideas/solution and how The Startup Flight will benefit your future:

V. Application requirements
Participants must submit their proposal following the instructions in Section VII: How to Enter.
Submissions approved by the Organizer will receive an announcement via email. After fulfilling all required steps, the entry will be marked as approved.
By applying, participants represent and guarantee that they own the rights of all the documents submitted, and sharing it does not violate the rights of any third parties.
Essays/Photos/Material/portfolios must be of good quality (but not exceed 5MB/each) and suitable for the program; no crude, political, religious, or offensive photographs and content (in the applied destination country) will be accepted.
Participants whose unique, practical, innovative and meaningful entries have received the highest number of votes on the contest website and their personal social networks, and who have been selected by the Board of Jury, will be selected and informed via provided contact information.
Participants are required to have a personal email and Facebook/Instagram account and must be followers of Vietjet Facebook/ Instagram fan pages. Only one entry is allowed per account holder.
VI. Additional Terms
Non-Transferable: Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Not Included: Visa fees, accommodation, meals, and other travel expenses are the responsibility of the winner.
By participating in this program, participants consent to the use of essays/photos/videos/personal data taken during the program for future use by the organizers.
Modification/Termination: Vietjet reserves all the rights to modify or terminate the program at any point during the campaign.
VII. How to Enter
Step 1 - Visit: TheStartUpFlight.vietjetair.com & Choose a topic in the 4 categories (Software & Data AI, Ecommerce & Retail, Edtech, Transportation)
Step 2 - Register: Create an account or log in with your Facebook/Google account to share Short essay/slides (~500 - 1000 words) with material to illustrate/outline your ideas/solutions (format of 5 photos, each of which does not exceed 5MB, or 1 video, each of which does not exceed 200MB) and how The Startup Flight will benefit your future.
Optional: Upload your shared drive link with supporting documents demonstrating your motivation, academic merit, achievements, etc.
Step 3 - Share: Share your submission on social media with #vietjet #TheStartUpFlight for a chance to gain additional visibility.

IX. Winner Selection & Notification
After receiving the final results, each shortlisted participant/winner will be notified by email while results will also be published on the website. Before claiming the prize, the shortlisted participant/winner must provide his/her correct name, address, telephone number, and scanned passport at the time of notification within seven (7) days.
The Organizer will contact the registered email of the shortlisted participant/winners to announce they have won and send supporting information so they can claim the prize within 10 working days from the announcement date.
If a shortlisted participant/winner cannot be notified within seven (7) days, or does not timely inform the organizer with the correct information to claim his/her prize, then the prize will be awarded to an alternate shortlisted participant/winner with the next highest score, selected from the remaining valid entries.
Within 3 days from the announcement date (announced on TheStartUpFlight.vietjetair.com and Vietjet Facebook fan-page as well as in an email sent to the shortlisted participants/winners), the shortlisted participants/winners must confirm and inform the organizer with the correct information by replying to the Announcement Email from Vietjet to claim his/her prize.
(*) Qualified shortlisted participants/winners who cannot receive a visa or have any issues related to receiving a visa can contact our Vietjet fan page to receive support.
By claiming a prize, winners grant Vietjet the rights to use their information for publicity purposes without compensation and publicly announce that you are the shortlisted participant/winner for all purposes (commercial and/or non-commercial without financial remuneration)
All participants have to cooperate with Vietjet for Brand communication purposes in the media.
Other rules will be decided by Vietjet following the contest program.
X. Organizer rights and responsibilities
Vietjet has the right to decline any entries or delete the result at any time if the result is deemed not suitable with the contest standards or related to fraudulent activities without notice.
Vietjet has the right to publish winners’ provided information for branding/communication purposes without remuneration on all channels with no time limit.
If there are any changes in the rules of the program, Vietjjet will announce in advance on TheStartUpFlight.vietjetair.com.
Vietjet is responsible for keeping all personal information confidential for campaign purposes and will not inform third parties.
Vietjet reserves the right to pause, alter, or add rules and make contest changes, and change the aforementioned contest date at any time before the end of the program (by updating the Terms and Conditions of the program and Vietjet Facebook, Instagram fan-page).
Vietjet is not responsible for any computer or electronic malfunction, server unavailability, technological glitch, or human error relating to this contest and/or the loss of participants’ data due to unintentional problems; Vietjet reserves the right to make changes or cancel the program and announce to the participants as soon as possible.
In all cases of disputes and complaints, the decisions of the Organizer/Vietjet will be final.
Organizers will not deal with any requests related to the program after December 31, 2025.
XI. General rules
By joining the program, all participants acknowledge that they have read, understood and agreed to follow the rules of the program.
All participants are completely responsible for their provided personal information; the organizers will not solve any cases related to participants providing inaccurate or incomplete information.
All participants acknowledge all legal responsibility for their images under the law of their home country and other countries they are traveling to.
By joining the program, all participants acknowledge that they have good physical and mental health, and they are responsible for their own health and well-being during the whole program and reward trip.
The official and valid announcement of Organizer will only be sent from noreply@ses.vietjetair.com.
In case of any dispute or complaint related to the contest, the Organizer will directly solve the issue and Vietjet’s decision is final.
The images and contents of the participants must not violate the traditions and customs of Vietnam and/or India, or violate Vietnamese and Indian cultural laws, and must not contain political, religious or otherwise offensive content.
There will be no substitutions or cash alternatives for any prize awarded. Vietjet has the right to substitute a prize with a reward of similar value. No transfer or re-assignment of prizes is allowed.
Any questions related to the program, participants can contact the organizer via Vietjet Facebook fan-page.
XII. Intellectual Property Rights
You hereby acknowledge and agree that Vietjet or our licensors own, control or possess all legal right, title and interest in and to the website and Competition, including but not limited to any copyrights, trademark rights, patent rights, moral rights, and other intellectual property and/or proprietary rights therein, whether such rights are registered or unregistered, and wherever in the world those rights may exist. Your use of the website or participation in the Competition does not grant or otherwise confer to You ownership of any kind in the website or any intellectual property that You may access on or through the website or Competition. Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.
You agree that nothing in this Agreement or in any other statements made in connection with the Competition, grants to You the right or license to use any intellectual property of the Company. You will not use the name, trademarks, service marks, logos, any copyrighted material or any other intellectual property of Company (collectively, “Company IP”) without the express written consent of Us, which We may withhold in Our sole discretion. Further, You agree that You will not use as Your own, any service mark, service name, trade name, trademark, design or logo(s) confusingly similar to those part of or otherwise embodied in the Company IP. We retain all rights, including media rights, to promote the Competition and the background and story of the Competition, including Your participation in the Competition at Vietjet sole discretion.
XIII.Disclaimer of Warranties; No Obligation of Program Entities; and Content.
13.1 Disclaimer.
Vietjet cannot and does not represent or warrant that the website, or the content therein, will be accurate, error-free, uninterrupted, free from unauthorized access (including third-party hackers or denial of service attacks), or otherwise meet Your requirements.
THE WEBSITE AND CONTENT ARE FURNISHED TO YOU “AS IS” AND WITHOUT WARRANTIES, REPRESENTATIONS OR CONDITIONS, STATUTORY OR OTHERWISE, OF ANY KIND. By entering, You acknowledge and agree that Our actions with respect to another entry or work of its own or of any third party, even if similar to, or the same as, the Your entry for the Competition, will not create any liability of any kind to Vietjet or others involved in the Competition. You also acknowledge and agree that participation in the Competition, receipt of a prize and/or designation as a semi-finalist, finalist, or winner does not create any obligation on the part of Us to promote, use in any way, or to take any further action regarding the Your entry, submission materials or presentation content or Your involvement in the Competition apart from this Agreement.
13.3 Our Content
Any content posted on Our website or sent to Users is published as of its stated date or, if no date is stated, the date of first posting. The Company has undertaken any duty to update any such information.
Vietjet does not prepare, edit, or endorse content or links from any third-party sources (“Third Party Content”). Vietjet does not guarantee the accuracy, timeliness, completeness or usefulness of Third Party Content, and is not responsible or liable for any content, advertising, products, or other materials on or available from third party sites.
You will not hold Us liable in any way for (a) any inaccuracy of, error or delay in, or omission of the content; or (b) any loss or damage arising from or in connection with i) an error or delay in the transmission of such content; ii) interruption in any such Content due either to any negligent act or omission by any party to any “force majeure” (e.g., flood, extraordinary weather conditions, earthquake or other act of God, fire, war, insurrection, riot, labor dispute, accident, action of government, communications or power failure, equipment or software malfunction), or iii) to any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the Company, or iv) non-performance.
Content is provided exclusively for personal and noncommercial access and use. XIV. Limitation of Liability
YOU (ON BEHALF OF YOUR STARTUP, ITS EMPLOYEES, TEAM MEMBERS AND ANY OTHER REPRESENTATIVES), AGREE AND ACKNOWLEDGES THAT TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW: (A) ANY AND ALL DISPUTES, CLAIMS, AND CAUSES OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE COMPETITION, INCLUDING AS APPLICABLE ANY PRIZE AWARD, WILL BE RESOLVED INDIVIDUALLY, WITHOUT RESORT TO ANY FORM OF CLASS ACTION; (B) ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, JUDGMENTS, SETTLEMENTS, AND AWARDS WILL BE LIMITED TO REASONABLE, ACTUAL THIRD-PARTY, OUT-OF-POCKET COSTS INCURRED (IF ANY) NOT TO EXCEED $1 USD, BUT IN NO EVENT WILL ATTORNEYS’ FEES BE AWARDED OR RECOVERABLE; (C) UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL ANY STARTUP (ON BEHALF OF ITSELF, ITS EMPLOYEES, OFFICERS OR DIRECTORS, AND ANY OTHER REPRESENTATIVES) BE PERMITTED TO OBTAIN ANY AWARD FOR, AND HEREBY KNOWINGLY AND EXPRESSLY WAIVES ALL RIGHT TO SEEK, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES, LOST PROFITS, AND/OR ANY OTHER TYPE OF DAMAGES, OTHER THAN ACTUAL OUT-OF-POCKET THIRD PARTY EXPENSES ACTUALLY INCURRED (IF ANY) NOT TO EXCEED $1 USD, OR ANY RIGHT TO HAVE ANY DAMAGES MULTIPLIED OR OTHERWISE INCREASED; AND (D) EACH STARTUP (ON BEHALF OF ITSELF, ITS EMPLOYEES, DIRECTORS OR OFFICERS, AND ANY OTHER REPRESENTATIVES) IRREVOCABLY WAIVES ANY RIGHT TO SEEK INJUNCTIVE OR EQUITABLE RELIEF.
NOTHING IN THIS SECTION SHALL EXCLUDE OR LIMIT OUR LIABILITY FOR LOSSES WHICH MAY NOT BE LAWFULLY EXCLUDED OR LIMITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN WHICH CASE, OUR LIABILITY WILL BE LIMITED TO THE GREATEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.
14.1 Indemnification
YOU AGREE TO DEFEND, INDEMNIFY AND HOLD US (AND CONTEST JURY, AND ANY OTHER PERSONS ADMINISTERING THE COMPETITION) AND EACH OF OUR EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES, AGENTS, ATTORNEYS, AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, MANAGERS, SHAREHOLDERS, PARTNERS, INVESTORS, GENERAL PARTNERS, LIMITED PARTNERS, CONTRACTORS, ADVISORS, SERVICE PROVIDERS, VENDORS, SPONSORS, AND ANY OTHER ASSOCIATED ENTITIES (THE “INDEMNIFIED PARTIES”) HARMLESS FROM ANY DAMAGE, LOSS, COST, OR EXPENSE (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ATTORNEYS’ FEES AND COSTS) INCURRED IN CONNECTION WITH ANY THIRD-PARTY CLAIM, DEMAND, OR ACTION (“CLAIM”) BROUGHT OR ASSERTED AGAINST ANY OF THE INDEMNIFIED PARTIES, ALLEGING FACTS OR CIRCUMSTANCES THAT WOULD CONSTITUTE A BREACH OF ANY PROVISION OF THIS AGREEMENT BY THE STARTUP OR ARISING FROM, RELATED TO, OR CONNECTED WITH YOUR ENTRY, SUBMISSION MATERIALS, PRESENTATION CONTENT AND PARTICIPATION IN ANY WAY IN ANY ASPECT OF THE CONTEST, INCLUDING RECEIPT OF ANY PRIZE. IF YOU ARE OBLIGATED TO PROVIDE INDEMNIFICATION PURSUANT TO THIS PROVISION, SPONSOR MAY, IN THE SPONSOR’S SOLE DISCRETION, CONTROL THE DISPOSITION OF ANY CLAIM AT YOUR SOLE COST AND EXPENSE. WITHOUT LIMITATION OF THE FOREGOING, YOU MAY NOT SETTLE, COMPROMISE, OR IN ANY OTHER MANNER DISPOSE OF ANY CLAIM WITHOUT THE SPONSOR’S EXPRESS WRITTEN CONSENT.
XV. Choice of Law; Dispute Resolution; Class Action Waiver
15.1 Choice of Law
The validity, interpretation, and performance of this Agreement shall be controlled by and construed under the laws of the State of California without regards to its conflicts of laws principles.
15.2 Dispute Resolution/Acknowledgment of, and Agreement to, Arbitration
Except as prohibited by law, any dispute or controversy regarding the enforcement or interpretation of this Agreement will be resolved through binding arbitration under the Consumer Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association in Santa Clara County, California. THE PARTIES UNDERSTAND THAT BY AGREEING TO ARBITRATE DISPUTES THEY ARE WAIVING ANY RIGHT THEY MIGHT OTHERWISE HAVE TO A JURY TRIAL. This arbitration provision is not intended to modify or limit the right of the parties to seek equitable relief, such as an injunction or attachment, through judicial process, which will not be deemed a waiver of the right to demand and obtain arbitration.
15.3 Class Action Waiver
Any arbitration under this Agreement will take place on an individual basis; class arbitrations and class actions are not permitted. Neither You nor Company has the right to act as a class representative or participate as a member of a class of claimants with respect to any claim
XVI. Entire Agreement
This Agreement and any other terms or privacy policies referenced herein, is the entire agreement between You and Vietjet and supersedes any prior agreement or understanding regarding anything connected to that subject matter.
By entering the Competition, You agree that this Agreement is the controlling rules for the Competition and You agree to be bound exclusively by this Agreement.
We are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, or misdirected entries; lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server or other connections; miscommunications, computer or software malfunctions; transmission problems; technical failures; garbled transmissions; damage to user’s software or transmission devices; or other errors or malfunctions of any kind, whether human, mechanical, electronic or otherwise that may occur in connection with the Competition.
If, for any reason, the Competition cannot proceed as planned due to factors that, in our sole discretion, may affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Competition (or any part of it), the We reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Competition (or any part of it). In such an event, We will have no further obligation to You.
We also reserve the right in its sole discretion to disqualify You or other individuals associated with you, if you are found to be: (a) tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Competition, or any website maintained or operated by Us; (b) using any robotic, macro, automatic programmed or like type of entry methods; (c) violating this Agreement; or (d) engaging in unethical, inappropriate or disruptive action or conduct, or taking any action inconsistent with this Agreement, the fairness of the Competition and Our reputation.
16.1 Amendment; Modification
Vietjet may add to, change or remove any part of the website, including, without limitation, any content, at any time without prior notice to You. We also reserve the right to modify this Agreement at any time. When We make changes to the Agreement, We will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of the Agreement and We may notify You of the changes by prominently posting a notice of such changes on the website. We encourage You to review this Agreement whenever You visit the website. By continuing to access and use the website after any such changes have been posted, You are indicating your acceptance of such changes, even if You have not reviewed the changes.
16.2 Electronic Communications
Whenever You visit our website or send emails to Us, You are communicating with Us electronically. For that reason, You also consent to receive communications from Us electronically. We may communicate with you by email (if you have provided your email address to Us), by posting notices on our website or by such other means as We may determine from time-to-time. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications that We provide to You electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing to the extent permitted by applicable law.
16.3 Waiver
Any failure to enforce any terms of this Agreement will not constitute a waiver of that provision or bar Us from enforcing that term subsequently in connection with the Competition. The headings in this Agreement are inserted for convenience and identification only, and are not intended to describe, interpret, define or limit the scope or intent of this Agreement for the Competition. By submitting an entry, You waive any right you may have to claim ambiguity of this Agreement or any advantage or any impact on interpretation of this Agreement that may arise from any such ambiguity claim. This Agreement will be construed by Us in our sole discretion, Our decisions will be binding and final.
16.4 Severability
If any provision of this Agreement is held invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the validity, legality and enforceability of the remaining provisions will not be affected or impaired.
16.5 Assignment
You may not assign or otherwise transfer your rights, or delegate your performance, under this Agreement to a third-party without Vietjet's prior written consent. Vietjet may assign or transfer its rights or delegate any performance under this Agreement to any third-party in its sole discretion.
